Screen Making - Pre-Production

With a reclaimable screen inventory of over 1200 screens in various sizes and mesh counts, NBSF is able to process an impressive 400 screens per day (via 2 - 8 hr. shifts) for designs needing 1 to 18 colors.

The screens are hand stretched and meticulously brought to material specifications using Newman Rollermaster Tensioning Tables. Screens are coated on calibrated Grunig Coating machinery to proper stencil thickness and exposed by Douthitt Exposure Units to the optimal exposure. Using Grunig Automatic Developing System the stencil is washed and prepped for Production use.

Once production is done with the screens they are re-claimed (cleaned of their stencils) using Grunig G-174 Auto-Reclamation Systems (via 4 man reclaim team 8 hr’s a day producing 300 screen reclaimed), re-tensioned and prepared for their next use.
